Official Test Centers in Sri Lanka

• Colombo – The main testing hub, hosted by leading Japanese language schools and cultural organizations.

• Kandy – Secondary center serving learners in the central region of Sri Lanka.

• Galle – Available for learners in the southern region.

Exam Schedule

• Conducted six times a year: January, March, May, July, September, and November.

• Exams are usually held on Sundays for convenience.

• Results are released within 2–3 weeks, faster than JLPT, supporting academic and career planning.

Exam Fees

• Same fee across all levels (5Q = Beginner to 1Q = Advanced).

• Typical fee range: LKR 8,000 – 15,000.

Registration Process

1. Choose your test level (5Q to 1Q).

2. Contact an authorized NAT registration partner or Japanese language institute in your city.

3. Submit required documents:

   • 1 recent passport-sized photo

   • Copy of National ID or passport

4. Pay the exam fee.

5. Receive your admit card with exam details.

6. Appear for the exam on the scheduled date.
